Recently, February 2018, Douglas White lead another 2-Day Practical Social Media Strategy Workshop in Singapore. A tremendous group of people traveled to the workshop from 5 countries-- all prepared to work, work, work! Each attendee walked away from this hands-on, interactive workshop with tailored information on how to leverage on the newest in social media for their business, writing effectively on various social media platforms to increase the engagement rate of their posts and tools for measuring the effectiveness of their social media with tips on driving conversion.
Below is a brief overview of the workshop topics, note that each section was followed by hands on exercises where attendees received personalised feedback.
The workshop started out with learning about the ‘Latest Game-Changing Social Media Trends & Platforms” where topics included insights on whether video’s are now a must on social media platforms (Yes, they are!), including overviews of Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, 360 videos, and Snapchat.
“Optimise your Social Media Strategy”, covered setting clear goals, selecting appropriate KPI's and developing a 360 Social Media strategy-- a comprehensive strategy including SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SMO (Social Media Optimisation).
“Leveraging Platforms’ Technicalities & Algorithms – Plan, Distribute & Amplify Content” reviewed the changes in Facebook’s organic reach, changes in Instagram’s algorithm and PRDA's time-tested PRDA social media methodology on how to best leverage social media platforms, including our ‘write one, post many’ strategy to increase efficiency.
“Creating Engaging Social Media Content with Maximum Impact” highlights the importance of creating content that stands out from the massive amounts of material that assaults social media users on a daily basis. Here Douglas shares some of his best practices and tips on creating content that will engage your target audience and drives a strong call-to-action.
“Social CRM & Managing Online Reputation” is an important topic for anyone who’s posted on social media-- how to best respond to negative comments and resolve conflict, as well as how to build and manage customer relationships. Also included is an overview of social monitoring tools like Fanpage Karma, Hootsuite, Social Mention, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights etc.
Finally Douglas White completes the 2-day workshop with “Social Media Data Analytics & Measuring ROI” where attendees learn to assess social media’s substantial impact and translate your social data findings into actionable insights that can be presented to management. Examples using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp are included in this section.
